Quality is not a passing fad or temporary state of mind. It is a way of thinking that should direct all corporate actions. In all things, begin with the end in mind and ask yourself,
"How will this affect my customer?"

Lean Manufacturing Explained

Pure and simple, lean is reducing the time from customer order to manufacturing and delivering products by eliminating nonvalue added waste in the production stream. The ideal of a lean system is a one-piece flow. A lean manufacturer is continuously improving in the direction of that ideal lean manufacturing principle.
